Tammy's Flip Tips
- Soak hard brushes in stripper. Let sit for a couple of hours, then put in mineral spirits. Wipe away excess paint and scrub with soap and water.
- After stripping your piece, make sure you wipe it down with mineral spirits and let it dry completely (at least overnight) or the damp wood won't take your paint in its true color.
- A toothbrush is a great tool to get the tiny edges or recessed or raised designs. Just dip the brush in your stripper and go to town. The bristles are soft enough to not hurt the wood but will pull the paint or stain right off. Just use the appropriate amount of elbow grease.
